I look back and realize how sleep deprived we both were. And, not to mention those awful postpartum blues and the many other countless changes a women's body goes through after having a baby. It's a miracle that anyone survives it all. But, somehow you get through those rough parts and during it all, you develop a deep love for the precious baby you call your own. There is nothing more precious then holding your own creation in your arms. It's beautiful!

Look at that cute little green burrito with all that fuzzy hair! How can that not make you smile. :)
This was his first swim in the pool. Not sure if he liked it or not...

This was Samuel's first road trip. We went to Utah to visit my sister Cindy, her husband Matt, and there two cute kids, Hallie and David.

My Mom and I were trying clothes on Samuel. They were all a bit big but the hat he was wearing was made by his Grandma Skeem. Isn't it cute.

We took him to a Newport High School football game. Kyan's young men activity that night was to go support one their guys who was on the team. I was anxious to get out of the house so Samuel and I decided to go as well.

We took a trip to Rhonda and Bert's house for Thanksgiving. Samuel did remarkable on the drive there and back. I Thank the Lord everyday for the good baby he gave me!

Can you find him? He's sort of hidden in the basket.... :s
He was finally introduced to "real" food.
Hello Christmas Day! Somebody loved Christmas morning. He was a little confused of why we were all up early, sitting around a glowing tree and listening to Christmas music and opening presents. It was a fun morning!

I would watch Nash on Monday afternoons and Samuel would love it! He loved playing with Nash. Of course there wasn't much "playing" per say but it was still cute to watch them make noises and giggle at one another.
Did you see that look he gave me? He knew exactly what he was doing. I was feeling pretty good that day so I decided to let him make a complete mess of himself. Let's put it this way, he had so much fun that mush was in everything!

Watch out, there's a new sheriff in town...I didn't know sheriff's could be so cute.

Naked baby on the run! He escaped his towel and ran off. Funny kid!
We went to Galen and Anita's house for one weekend. We walked the pasture and Samuel met the horses and played with Grandma and Grandpa. We all had a great time.
This is Samuel in our front yard. It was a nice morning to be playing in the grass.
Kyan surprised me for my birthday. Went to Sequim and stayed in this cute cabin by the water. We went hiking and found snow at the top. It was gorgeous. Thanks babe for a wonderful birthday surprise. :)
Is that not just the cutest little devil you've seen! We were all being goofy that night and had a real good time messing with Samuel's hair and making funny faces. I love nights like that. Sometimes the bedtime routine goes out the window (If we ever had one in the first place) and we just have a little fun before bed.

One day, I thought it would be fun to bathe him in the kitchen sink. But, after wrestling to keep him from climbing into the other side, I opted to keep bath time in the tub. But, it was fun nonetheless.
The problem with a kid becoming smart is that they begin to realize what you're doing as you take pictures of them. He no longer sits and poses really cute in one place. Instead he's out to steal the camera from me so he can check it out. As a result, I still get really cute pictures with personality. I love it!
